FlameUs privacy policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026.
FlameUs is a private challenge app. You create a flame, invite people with a link, and post a proof so the streak stays alive. This policy says what the app collects and what it does not.
What we collect
- Account. Email from Sign in with Apple, Google, or the email and password you type. A display name you choose — Apple can fill it in on the first sign-in — plus the user id we store for that account.
- Proofs. Photos, short video clips, voice notes, text, and button check-ins you choose to post. Camera-roll photos only when that flame allows it.
- Thread. Messages and emoji reactions inside a flame you belong to.
- Purchases. Product id and transaction id for a freeze, a repair, or Flame+, so the same purchase is not granted twice. The card or store receipt stays with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
- Push. A device token so a flame you belong to can notify this phone. Signing out deletes that device’s token.
- Crash reports. Crashlytics receives crash data so we can fix the app. It is not used to track you across other companies’ apps.
- Reports. If you report or block someone, we store that report. A person who reviews the queue can remove that proof, message, or flame for every member, and can remove the person from the flame.
What we do not do
- We do not track you. The privacy manifest sets tracking to no, and there is no advertising identifier.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not build a contacts graph or a public profile.
- The phone never holds storage keys, the push service account, or the purchase webhook secret.
Who can see a proof
Members of that flame. A person who is not a member cannot read the room, the thread, or the history. Leaving or being kicked removes that access.
Where it lives
Account, flames, and proofs are stored in our Supabase project. Photo, voice, and video files are stored in a private bucket. Crash reports go to Firebase Crashlytics (project flameus-37302). Purchases are confirmed by a RevenueCat webhook before a credit or Flame+ is applied.
How long
You can leave a flame. You can delete your account in Settings. That removes the login, your name, and your membership. Proofs and messages you posted in a flame that still has other people stay in that flame, without your name. A flame that was only yours is removed. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store or Play subscription.
Age
FlameUs is for people 18 and older. The app asks you to confirm that before you continue.
